Fall is THE BEST time for beach sessions, no need to worry about it being too hot, make up sliding off your face, kids crying ’cause it’s 303938 degrees; besides the sunsets are gorgeous and the light is amazing! Won’t you join me on the gulf coast this fall? *I only have 3 openings left!*

When: Oct 9, 10, 11

Where: Grayton Beach Area

What: A classic session at the beach with your loved ones, lasting up to one hour.

How much: $200 session fee, up to 5 people, non-refundable

summer has arrived…

…and it’s my absolute favorite season of the year. I love waking up and forgetting what day it is because most days the kids and I have nothing we “have” to do. We are certainly enjoying some well deserved down time. We were at the beach last week and all the cousins got together for a quick photo shoot – or an attempt at one at least. The “babies” are 17 and 18 months old and to say they are quick is a huge understatement! We had to be equally as fast with treats and bribes but in the end it was all worth it since they earned ring pops – every one of them! Candy makes all kids happy, right?

I told my mother in law I wanted to get a shot of the babies naked in the sand. Of course they sat for about 1.4 seconds as you can see here -

I like this in a vintage wash, too. So sweet!

And summer isn’t summer without fresh cherries. I put some in one of my grandmother’s old mixing bowls, again in a vintage wash just because.

I noticed these ants a few weeks ago with an enormous treasure – a corner of a dorito. As they carried it away down my driveway, I ran inside to get my camera and nearly missed them. Apparently, they are quick, like toddlers!

I had an awesome time photographing Mandy and Casey’s beach wedding in Destin last weekend. It was such a casual wedding, very laid back. Everyone had a great time – and that’s exactly how weddings should be! I felt honored that she asked me to photograph such a memorable event in their lives. (And I still only do weddings a very limited basis)

As you can see with 3 kids, there’s a lot of love for this family! The lighting was perfect and I did a soft color processing on this shot.

I just love the kids’ faces here – so typical – Big sister, the princess, Baby girl is thinking, “whatcha talking bout Willis?”, while brother seems to want to ask, “whyyy are you putting my airplane in your pocket, Mrs Tasha?”.

Such a beautiful family. Thanks for the opportunity to take your family beach portraits!

This beautiful family met me at the beach for some portraits. I love the soft colors and amazing lighting this time of year.

The starfish was a huge hit.

But Troy liked it the most!

I love big brother’s face here. Soo sweet – and Troy just wanted the starfish!

Summer, summer, summer time

Is finally here! I’m offering a few summer specials but my sessions will be limited this summer so that I will still have time to relax and enjoy my own kiddos, in addition to clearing some time for a vacation at the end of July. I have a few things lined up for the summer already and I’ve got sessions booked through December so if you’d like to book a session, I would recommend doing so as soon as possible. All sessions are non refundable, but should you be unable to make your session appointment due to an emergency, I will do what I can to reschedule your portrait appointment for another time.

I’m offering three specials that include some of my favorite things: newborn babies, the beach and Facebook. There is a small catch though. The sessions must be booked and paid by June 12th, 2009 to get the special “deals”.

Number 1 -

Book a summer birth or maternity session and get a newborn session for free. Maternity sessions are best done between 35-38 weeks. Number 2 - ONLY ONE BEACH SESSION LEFT!

I’m offering beach sessions at a slight discount, including a print credit. These sessions usually cost $350 with a $100 print credit but for this summer special only, if you book your beach session by June 12th, you will only pay $250 which includes a $100 print credit (up to 4 people, each additional person $15). That’s $100 off but only for a limited time (must book by June 12). The beach sessions will take place June 23 (booked) and 26 (booked), July 10 and 11 (booked). I know the best time of the day for beach portraits and the best places so that we can get optimal photos of your family. Sessions will take place in the Panama City/Destin area, to be announced once session is booked. In case of inclement weather, sessions will be rescheduled at a later date this summer.

The kids and I went down to the beach for a few days and John Parker met us there. We got to capture his first trip to the beach!
